Hi, I’m Jamie Miller. I live in Adel with my husband, two daughters and dog. 

I’ve been interested in photography since I was young; the ability to freeze time. A memory that may have otherwise been forgotten, or at least not as vivid as when paired with a photo. 

I’m a self-taught photographer with a bachelor’s degree in art and a background in graphic design. I believe creativity and curiosity go hand in hand — and paired with my art foundation, I’m always looking for new ways to grow and learn. As technology keeps evolving, there’s always something new to explore, and I’m here for it. I actually enjoy the editing process as much as the session itself. I love experimenting with techniques and lighting to keep capturing all the beauty this world has to offer.

Whether it’s a newborn session or a professional headshot, my goal is to make your experience relaxed and easy. I plan ahead by scouting locations and brainstorming ideas for your shoot — honestly, I hope getting your family out the door is the hardest part! You really do get out of it what you put into it, so my best advice is to just let things unfold naturally. Your son not smiling might not be the picture you envisioned, but he’ll never be this age, in this moment, ever again — and that’s what makes it special. Sometimes, those candid in-between moments end up being my absolute favorites.
